Unified Digital Content Platform

Mohtawa Plus

Central management and preservation of archives and documents — made available and circulated in compliance with National Center for Documents and Archives regulations and international archiving standards, and turned into a knowledge platform by AI that builds a central RAG language model across the organization’s content.

Overview

A content platform that has been in continuous development since 2002.

Mohtawa Plus manages and preserves the archive centrally, then makes it retrievable. The AI layer builds a central RAG language model over all of the entity’s content and data, providing a Co-Pilot-like search service across the whole estate.

Compliance basis

Built to the national archival framework, not adapted to it.

The platform follows the procedures, policies and guides of the National Center for Documents and Archives, alongside international standards for records management and open archival description.

Capabilities

What the platform does.

Several interlinked archival subsystems, driven by AI, running on the national collaborative cloud or entirely on-premise.

Unified archival description
A single descriptive standard for archival content, with central authority lists for classifications, retention periods, subjects and persons.
Arabic and printed OCR
Optical character recognition and text conversion on documents at 90% accuracy, with continuous learning on character shapes.
Historical handwritten script
Recognition of regular historical handwriting, with accuracy varying according to the regularity of the script.
Speech and media conversion
Speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) across multimedia recordings held in the archive.
Language services
Translation, summarization, classification, extraction of names, bodies and subjects, spelling and linguistic proofing, and digital content creation.
Single sign-on and central definitions
Unified naming, base definitions and one entry point across every subsystem of the platform.
Components

Six subsystems under one platform.

Each subsystem handles a distinct class of institutional material, and all of them share the same description, governance and retrieval layer.

01
Multi-format digital content
Institutional memory — historical, scientific and cultural content, held as PDF publications, studies and historical documents.
02
Archive and records centre
Management of the archive and records centre, including detailed intelligent cataloguing and classification, physical repository work — folders, placement, numbering, barcoding and shelving — and archival committee procedures for appraisal, retention, disposal and transfer.
03
Digital supply management
Ingestion from participating bodies and branches, by manual entry or by integration with hundreds of national and international databases, platforms and digital libraries.
04
Periodicals indexing
Registration of periodical issues and their records, segmentation and sorting of subjects linked to the issue record, and intelligent per-subject cataloguing and field population.
05
Legal deposit
Central registration and cataloguing of refereed publications and intellectual output at institutional or national level, with an electronic workflow for partner integration.
06
AI/BI Knowledge Portal
Field and full-content search, AI search, intelligent enquiry via chatbot, statistical analysis, indicators and dashboards, and digital beneficiary requests with their workflows.

Deployment & governance

Deployed where your governance requires.

The platform runs on the national collaborative cloud or entirely within your own environment.

01
National collaborative cloud
Shared national cloud environment for participating entities.
02
On-premise
The full platform inside infrastructure your organization operates.
Regulatory posture. Mohtawa Plus is built to comply with the regulations of the National Center for Documents and Archives and with international archiving standards. NourSoft makes no claim of certification or accreditation by any authority on this page.
